Chapter 1 - Cappadocius

The Antediluvian founder of the Cappadocians was a third generation vampire known as Cappadocius. Unlike the other Antediluvians, he sought peace, understanding of the world and of the curse of his blood in order to hopefully escape from its grasp. Late into his search, around the time of the Dark Ages, Cappadocius had his second in command brung to him a powerful man by the name of Augustus Giovanni. Cappadocius invited him to be Embraced into the clan.

Augustus Giovanni turned on Cappadocius and diablerized him, thus making himself a third generation vampire. Augustus then founded the clan Giovanni and had nearly all Cappadocians hunted down and killed.

The Cappadocians were marked by a desire to understand the limits between life and death. Some of them meticulously studied death and decay; others chose to focus on the possibility of bringing life back into a dead body. Their clan Discipline, Mortis, gave them the power to animate corpses (or parts thereof). As their interests met, some Cappadocians shared information with scholars of the occult from the Tremere clan.

Chapter 2 - The Giovanni

After Agustus's diablerization of Cappadocius, and the purging of every non Giovanni Cappadocian. The other Clans, still reeling from Tremere's diablerization of the revered Saulot, did little to stop the 'incestuous necromancers'.
In all the centuries to follow, the Giovanni have focused upon two things: money and power, with the former being merely another means to acquire the latter. They have succeeded admirably. Clan Giovanni today possesses financial interests in nearly every corner of the globe. While a member of neither the Camarilla, nor the Sabbat, they tend to veer away from the petty disputes between the sects focusing on themselves and their clan.
Besides their horrible affliction for the dirty dealings of the undead and horrible underground practices they present a front of respectability. If apperances could be compared to anything they would be compared to the Ventrue in their public mannerisms and their apperances on the public face.

Talents: Necromancy, Dominate, Potence

Advantages: The Giovanni are ardent financiers, and may begin the game with one free Influence level in Finance. Equally, they may forgo Finance in lieu of Health.

Weaknesses: Living creatures take agonizing wounds from the Giovanni bite, making feeding a difficult affair unless great precautions are taken
